Its distinctive cube-style design fits beautifully into modern gardens and outdoor spaces, while also creating a more spacious sauna experience than a traditional barrel sauna. Despite its compact footprint, the Icon 220XL comfortably accommodates up to 4 people, making it a practical and stylish choice for smaller households and outdoor wellness spaces.
Modern Design with More Interior Space
The contemporary cube-like shape gives the Icon 220XL a clean and elegant appearance that works well in both modern and traditional garden settings.
Compared to a standard barrel sauna, this design provides:

- Higher two-level benches, giving a more elevated seating position
- Better heat concentration around the user for a more enjoyable sauna experience
Compact and Practical
The Icon 220XL is designed to fit even in smaller gardens and outdoor spaces, making it a practical option where space is limited. It also does not require expensive groundwork, helping to make installation simpler and more cost-effective.
Although compact, it still comfortably accommodates up to 4 people at the same time.
Flexible and Safe Heater Configuration
Thanks to its practical cube shape, the Icon 220XL can be configured with either:
- Electric heater
- Wood-burning heater
The heater is positioned at one end of the sauna, allowing users to enter and exit safely from the opposite side for improved comfort and safety.
Thermowood Properties and Benefits
During the thermowood treatment process, the wood is heated to temperatures between 180°C and 230°C in the absence of oxygen. This process greatly reduces the wood’s ability to absorb water and makes it less vulnerable to fungi and bacteria, increasing its durability and service life.

All wooden parts of the sauna, except door frames, window frames, roof panels, and foundation beams, are made from Nordic thermowood.
The treatment gives the wood a rich, even brown tone, which will naturally turn grey over time when exposed to UV light, as with other timber products. For this reason, we recommend treating the wood with a suitable wood preservative.
Electrical Installation
For saunas with an electric heater, electrical installation is required.
